MILAN Dec 18, 2003 / FW/ – Circular is the earth and so are Fendi’s constructed garments, in their finishing on pants, jackets, knee length skirts, dresses and coats.

Layered and a joining of leather are all part of the Fendi spring summer 2004 collection that is aimed at the lady who is chic and looking for an air of lightness to complement.

Soft, transparent wide leather whip belts were omnipresent, tight and accentuating.

Knitted metallic sweaters are figure hugging and finished with coloured piping.

There are flashes of colour but it is mostly a pale romantic palette that tries to fuse concepts and the inner spirit.

Printed fabric is layered into pretty chiffon dresses long and flowing, tunic like in their wrapping and draping with ultra modern, bordering futuristic accessories such as the unmistakable Fendi bags, a must this season, the mini jukebox equipped with headphones, Plexiglas transparent heels and a new range of sunglasses.

The Fendi woman has been taken down a notch from the usual and instead has returned in some form to mother earth with researched concept ginger looks; a sexy, airy, fusion.

Despite rumours of unrest and tension in the Roman empire that is Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld appeared unswayed as he led the models down the runway in closure to a conceptual show revolved around circles last October in Milan.
