MILAN, Sep 30, 2004/ FW/ – Karl Lagerfeld is a busy man with 4 lines of clothing to design if we now include H&M, and perhaps it is the fact that his personal suitcase is full to the brim with experience and culture that he need not look too far for inspiration.
The presentation of the Fendi spring summer 2005 collection shown yesterday afternoon in Milan was a ride in the land of Mr. Lagerfeld himself. By taking us to Africa and the Middle East, Luxury-ville in a trippin’ 70’s mirage of colors makes one feel part of the unique and marvelous journey.
Fendi ladies can expect casual free flowing lightness like the soft green wrap dress with the lavishness of the finest fabrics and softest leathers.
Flare comes in volume design from puff sleeves and draping, drop waisted button up mini dresses and belted tiny waists. Tempting front splits and little tops are full of sex appeal, like the more aggressive paneled looks both in jackets, dresses and skirts.
Movement is comfortable in knee length hemlines, and while it would be nice to be able to wear a bathing suit the entire year round, you can always put it under one of the numerous proposals made by one of the knowlegable Kings of fashion himself.
Accessories are strictly silver and leather, whether rigid or fringed, moving up and down the sensual Fendi female silhouette where the upper torso and waistline are accentuated and obvious. After all someone did say once, ‘if you’ve got it, flaunt it’.
The multi cultural myriad of Lagerfeld gives Fendi an air of freshness and sparkling attitude where high spirits are just as much part of the wardrobe as the clothes themselves for summer 2005.
