Fendi MILAN, Jan 20, 2007/ FW/ --- Seemingly inspired by the 1920s Art Deco movement, Silvia Venturini Fendi sent forth an opulent collection that is rich in texture and forms with its graceful curves and geometric shapes.

Boxy vests ribbed at the hem to give it softness and flowing capes that ends on a high neck to give it structure without losing its sinuous quality best exemplify this collection.

Suits with rounded shoulders that were cut loose around the torso, while slim trousers were done with tiny pleats to give it a little swoosh when you walk.

The colors are earthy with olive green, different shades of brown and burgundy. Gray and silver gave the collection a certain flair of modernity.

Fendi did not break new grounds in fashion with this collection, but its warmth and gentleness make it covetable. And like the art movement that inspired it, the collection is elegant and functional.
