PARIS, Oct 9, 2005/ FW/– Gilles Rosier plays games with white roses and mirrored reflection for spring summer 2006 as he transforms a tailored men’s wardrobe into an upside down collection for the contemporary lady.

Take a pair of trousers and turn them upside down, cut the legs off and leave the belt threaded through the loop holes for decoration and you have the new version of the Rosier mini skirt.

Deconstructed tank tops with an extra pair of arm holes, jackets made of trousers and shirt cuffs added under the knee of cargo pants, trenches reversed and collars that hang under the torso are all part of Rosier’s detailed collection for the sassy unpredictable city woman of today.

She is active and moves to the rhythm of life, mixing masculine elements of her wardrobe with soft knit that caresses her torso turning the mundane into something novel and innovative.

The colour palette is made up of gentlemen hues, from grey to contrasting black and white before moving to sandy beige, milk chocolate and military green.

Light stripes and patterns akin to ties line jackets and make up shirts while fun prints express Rosier’s cheeky personality by placing a life size print of a pretty pink dress on the front of a simple white dress and then using antique rose underwear as little hot pants.

Though while the concept may not be original Rosier’s collection is fresh and well executed creating a cool wardrobe that is just the right mix of the wearable and abstract.
