Guvinda's Goldfinger

It was a golden night at Guvinda's show. Showing a predominantly gold collection, Guvinder
Singh keeps on improving on his techniques and becoming stronger each season.
It was a catwalk show cum installation, wherein models still walk on the runway and pedestals
there were pedestals wherein models were living mannequins, holding their pose. A very
clever way of presenting a collection.
Stylish and sharp with touches of Parisian couture, the collection featured cigarette
pants and mini skirts. Jumpsuits and pedalpushers updated for the new millennium were body
hugging and very feminine.
Jackets were either buttoned or zip, wide lapels or Nehru collars were used. The inspiration
was eclectic, the common thread is the gold.
Guvinda tried to cover a woman's whole day - from the office to home, even going out for a night out in
town. A very wearable collection for the hip and independent woman.
