MILAN, Feb 26, 2005/ FW/ --- Under giant glitter balls, lasers illuminates the house of Iceberg, where fall winter 2005/06 is all about improvisation, an unexpected encounter and flitting about the globe to Hollywood.
Sexy and sultry, the Iceberg lady is sensual, determined, knows what she wants and lives for the moment.
So apart from the ridiculous one hour delay, last minute run throughs as people took their seats, and the audience sitting and clapping for the show to start for over 15 minutes, those who got up and left for Fendi missed the Hollywood Diva Flyers that Iceberg had to offer.
Fur luxury lined pilot jumpsuits, while crystals sparkle on them. The modern aviator is eclectic as she mixes and matches her wardrobe to suit her moods and schedule.
Trousers are functional with multi pockets and drawstring waists, jewels are worn with active wear, lacing runs down the back of bodices and tight skirts while ruffles and lace lend femininity to this youthful collection.
Young beauty has a slim silhouette or is volume plenty. From T-shirts and furs to tailored jackets that pull at waistlines to beaded detail that follows seams sexily down the back and sides of rouged figure hugging dresses.
Iceberg’s artist of the season is Antonio Lopez, transporting his streetwise energy and influences from the 1982 publication ‘Antonio’s Girls’ onto the runway. An improvised sketch, the enchantment of beauty and the ‘gesture of his hand’, Lopez’s vigorous illustrations inspire the twinkling stars of next season.
Masculinity and femininity fuse notions of the naturally erotic for Iceberg, where elegance and color meet in the adventure of taking life one day at a time and living it to its fullest.
