MILAN, Jul 1, 2004/ FW/ --- Iceberg let us have it with some of the sexiest models in revolutionized Mr. Rogers attire.
The ultimate trend is the cardigan. This hot item has been seen consistently at many shows this season and has now been confirmed by Iceberg. Doing it in their own way, Iceberg presented clothes for literati (those of us who read and write, but also go visit the Louvre outside of fashion week) with inspiration of Casanova on holiday.
In classic low toned colorations of mauve, lavender, frosty beige, olive green and baby blue was painted onto embroidered linen, cotton and cashmere.
For easy living and simple layering, for day or evening on the beach, scarves and light coats were dominant. Models wore a very dainty/masculine, but functional three-strap thong sandal carrying large beach bags in white and khaki leather.
The visual art of Warhol and Vasarely displayed both on screen and on the clothing allowed two great art forms merge. Wrapping up the show in luxurious style, Iceberg emerged Snoopy as our good-luck cartoon for the season.
