MILAN, Oct 3, 2004/ FW/– Whether she is in soft patterned playsuits, patchwork jeans or wearing Hello Kitty trinkets, it is all part of the newly defined MetroFolk Girl for Iceberg’s spring summer 2005 collection.
Haphazardly mixing and matching cultures, she picks and chooses only the interestingly intriguing and like a phoenix rising from ashes she reinvents her look based on her immediate needs.
From baseball caps to multiple layers and girly frills she is not easily defined and tries to break the rules of common dress standards by borrowing street style and mixing it with her love for the seductive and sensual elegance of full length eveningwear.
Her wandering gypsy spirit is evident in the long floral and animal printed skirts with handkerchief hems while her hippie happiness radiates in the bright use of clashing flashy colour, like fuchsia, orange, turquoise, lime green and red.
She travels and collects from all over, like Japanese kite designs that fly on bags and
fabric, sweet Hello Kitty pop model images, treats and colors ever favorite and timeless
denim and then layers it all together.
Like the Argyle check knits over slip dresses and shiny bomber jackets over slinky full-length dresses.
Iceberg is eclectic and as sexy as ever for 2005 allowing the freedom to create an individual style and break constrictive metropolitan dress code standards.
