Isabel Marant Fall 2007: Global Warming
Paris Pręt-á-Porter (Paris Fashion Week) Fall 2007
By Jean Paul Cauvin
PARIS, Feb 27, 2007/ FW/ --- Ample miniskirts, turned-up shorts and djellabah necklines on the one hand, cashmere comfort, fox-lined hoods, broad knitted cardigans on the other hand foresee all possibilities of climate evolution for Fall Winter 2007-2008 in Isabel Marant’s collection presented today.
Ready to wear but, above all, chic easy to wear pieces are not difficult to mix and match for the Boho woman who wants to ally a girly allure and soft tones.
After travelling to Marrakech, who might want to keep an oriental touch on their winter city clothes, might adopt the bronze discreet grommets of Marant’s tunics, worn over her loose wool pants tapered at the ankle.
More classic Rive Gauche metropolitan looks will consist of cosy knitwear in reverse stockinette stitch for short or longer cardigans worn over a short woollen skirt with leggings and a parka.
The more subversive contemporary and chic Bohemian might chose the version of the parka with some real fox fur collars or the light brown corduroy dress or shirt buttoned at the back.
Isabel Marant is faithful to her customers, she is proposing, season after season, a collection that is the continuation of the same style. For this fall she is particularly pleasing them glamming it all up with more luxurious materials : hence the fur minimal additions or the leggings in muslin for girls who want to be trendy and curl up in their clothes or inside the arms of their boyfriends but do not forget about the atmosphere of global warming.
The shoes proposed by Isabel Marant are either revisited cowboy boots or sandals with compensated heels in the style of the forties. Her semi-precious sautoirs with big stones or large golden shapes add an undeniable ethnic chic for city adventurers.
Reasonably creative, cleverly a propos, Isabel Marant’s wardrobe for Fall 2007 will make the delights of Bohos with an edge, especially when they discover that their daughters might just want to adopt their style and borrow their clothes!
