J. Maskrey: Eclectic Goth?

With a provacative title, "Thy Shall Confess?" I expected the unexpected, and
that was what I got.
J. Maskrey's debut at London Fashion Week on-schedule show was definitely unforgettable!
When the first model walked on the runway wearing a one legged black and white check trousers
and her upper body bejewelled to match, I thought it would be Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire
gone goth.
But as the model slowly walked with the aid of a thorny walking stick, I knew that
the inspiration was different.
Of course, madness on the runway is common fare in London.
But this one is different.
It's not madness, it's a look into the dark side.
That was when I wondered if J. Maskrey reads Anne Rice.
The show is about skin jewellery. J. Maskrey gave it a new twist - attaching intricate designs
of crystal and beading directly to the skin!
So, we have the model wearing a checked skirt with a "checkered" jewellery attached
to her skin, red and black flowers worn as a top, again attached directly to the skin and
a model who came in wearing a cape ala Count Dracula.
When she took it off, The words
"Born to Die" and "A Free Ride To..." were "tattooed" on her
breast and back, respectively.
There was a hint of S&M and a hint of futurism.
It was Queen Amidala gone goth.
And there were tTraces of sci-fi cult film Blade Runner.
But this time, the replicants have gone mad.
There was also a hint of the Amazons.
One thread that has been constant - the darkness of the collection.
It was gothic science fiction fantasy!
