LONDON, Sep 18, 2002/ FW/ --- Celebrating her fourth season at London, J. Maskrey's
Spring 2003 collection was sensual, with hints of S&M, though I can also see futuristic
women warriors.
The references were eclectic - from a day at the beach with starfishes as body jewelry to the
a Mongol warrior in full gear, this time of course, it's colorful crystals that adorn the
vest and the rank which is supposed on the sleeve is now body jewelry on the arm.
There were eastern influences too - some of the models looked like they were ready
for a session of belly dancing.
Butterflies, swordfish, even marijuana leaves were used as motifs both on body
jewelry and the chiffon tops.
The designer also sent bags and accessories on the runway, further emphasizing the
fact that J. Maskrey has diversified and expanded her line.
