NEW YORK, Oct 18, 2002/ FW/ --- Jeremy Scott's move from Paris to New York brought "fun" at the
tents in Bryant Park.
It's not to say that other runway shows are not 'fun.'
Good shows always bring an adrenaline rush to fashion editors and buyers alike.
But with Jeremy Scott, there is always irreverence and an added umph because he pushes
the envelope.
For Spring 2003, he decided to tackle the future, i.e., seen through his own eyes.
To create a futuristic effects, the models' make up were exaggerated, specially at the
eye area.
New eyebrows were literally drawn, much higher where they usually are.
Eyes were made bigger with the use of color.
It such a departure from our everday make-up that Caroline Rebiero was almost unrecognizable!
For the hair, crimped pony-tail extenders were used, giving the models an Amazonian look.
But you would never think of them as a modern Xena.
The models were truly another point of view of the future.
One great thing - though the theme was futuristic, it never looked sci-fi.
