For the final show of London Fashion Week's Fall 2001 season, Julian Roberts showed his
final collection of the label Nothing Nothing. It was a fitting symmetry.
Continuing the symmetry, Julian Roberts showed his debut collection for his new label
"Julian And" during the opening of London Fashion Week Spring 2002 season.
We are already familiar with the designer's innovative designs. As a bonus for Spring
2002, Julian Roberts also his talent as a multimedia artist.
To launch his new label, the designer projected a huge film 150sq.ft onto the
outside facade of the Natural History Museum, to a live sound score by
Japanese music producer Ryoco Kuwajima.
Roberts who is also a filmmaker developed his techniques in art installations and
multimedia while he was at the Royal College of Art.
Historically, the designer also mixes the soundtrack of his runway shows.
The launch of Julian And showed the convergence of the talents of Julian And - as
a fashion designer, and as a filmmaker.
As always, the multi-talented Julian Roberts continually amaze the fashion world
with his innovative ideas and designs.
