LONDON, Sep 24, 2003/ FW/ --- Glitter, glam king of Brit superstars and brats, Julien Macdonald’s London spring summer 2004 collection was everything that one has come to expect from the most famous Welshman in Britain.

His star studded VIP disco catwalk boasted among others the likes of Naomi Campbell, who opened the show in high black lace up boots, small bathing costume and tight white jacket.

Modern day sex symbols all with luscious red lips, hot bodies to flaunt and no doubt cars to match, donned super obvious sexy party boy Macdonald looks accentuating their sellable frames and his obvious love for women.

Teeny weeny bikini’s, low cut swimsuits, tactical cutaways in tops and dresses, body hugging catsuits, one in particular almost too reminiscent f Emilio Pucci, were all part of the hot seasons wardrobe. However Macdonald did in some way adhere to the trends of the London 2004 season with prints in both bright and pastel colour schemes.

Transparent and flimsy fabrics for kaftans wearable perhaps (and hopefully) only at the beach. Jackets were varied in appearance, tailored and tight, but he also the reworked 1980’s biker style worn with hipster pants and shorts.

Minidresses swished and sparkled for evenings dressed with swarovski crystals. Macdonald, apart from good time fashionista, is recognized for his knitwear and it took the form of mini cobweb dresses.

Dazzling, scintillating and alluring are all part of the formula for a great party and good time, and while perhaps not too many of Macdonalds designs are worn to do the weekly groceries, one has to smile at the fun he creates, and if we are honest at least for a second, we secretly would love to be one of his catwalk bunnies.
