Katherine Pradeau Fall 2005: From Day to Night Flash

PARIS, Mar 17, 2005/ FW/ --- Showing on the last day of fashion week is dangerous business for any designer. By that time, the vast majority of the international press and buyers are either in jet planes flying over the Atlantic Ocean. However, French designer Katherine Pradeau showed that she was well up to up to the challenge.

Pradeau’s Fall 2005 – Winter 2006 collection is dominated by black, orange and fuchsia. She began the show with a short red coat, which reaches midway down the thighs.

Among her ensembles was a white look composed of pants and a trench coat. Both have black lining and structure. The coat is pleated. A second ensemble was done in a white wool crepe. Its coat-jacket has a hooded integrated into it.

Her black jersey suit pants with fuchsia lining running down the legs brought new life to the attendees as many looked as if they were willing to buy it off the runway. This impression was then confirmed as fact with the appearance of Pradeau’s black coat with lace appliqués and orange lining.

Pradeau’s satin skirt in fuchsia arrives above the knees and is finished off with a black lace overlay. This theme is repeated in a lovely evening trench with large black satin sash belt that knots into a bow. This look is also available in Pradeau’s second favourite colour: orange.
