MILAN, Feb 26, 2004/ FW/ --- Anna Masotti for La Perla, designs a collection based on the 1972 Bertolucci classic ‘Last Tango in Paris’.
For any woman, Jeanne or otherwise hanging off the arm of Brando, nothing but flowing layers of chiffon, luxurious fur hugging from the upper body or gold crocodile heels could do.
Simultaneously sexy and delicate, Masotti captures the feminine side of the bad girl within us all as velvet trousers are matched with soft thin lace shirts, fur panelled jackets and slight transparency are used throughout the entire collection.
For Fall 2004/05, La Perla chooses lowered waists on dresses for look alike wrap around dresses, plunging V’s and bows ties to the side.
The bra strap is reworked into a thicker shoulder strap exclusively in worked lace.
La Perla over the years has prided itself on the charming and alluring femininity, and with Hippy influences from the same 70’s of mini floral on chiffon, mini dresses that are full of volume with long wide sleeves and dresses that have multiple short ruffle layers, Masotti doesn’t seem to miss a beat.
Evenings are sensual with contouring of the upper body and sparkles that dangle as accessory or added directly to the garment as essential detail. Transparency is romantic and never too excessive, after all a key player in the art of seduction is discovering what lies beneath.
This rebel uses her individual style to create particular looks, a gypsy at heart but always feminine in her disobedience.
