MILAN, Sep 28, 2004/ FW/ --- Whimsical like a Bond girl, the La Perla Spring Summer 2005 collection is sophisticated with a twist; ‘Chic Eccentricity’ to be precise.
Sexiness is of utmost importance as always to La Perla with lingerie acting as both protagonist and staple in a range of light and sensual womenswear, that moves from floating butterfly beauties to classy hard-hitting femme fatales.
Straight-legged trousers are worn with little jackets or hippy light tops with elastic wrists as Alessandro Dell’Acqua for La Perla this season concentrates on tailoring and couture attention to delicate detail.
The mixing of fabrics is a key feature in this Spring Summer collection, from transparent chiffon to lace and slinky body hugging jersey and tulle.
Strapless tight corsetry that shapes the upper body appears ladylike in black with antique rose undertones, ironically innocent as under become stylish outer garments. Full-length luxury is either enriched with jeweled back detail or softer versions come in airy textiles that dance in the breeze.
Hips are accentuated via gathering and draping, making La Perla’s ladies sexy and delectable before varying into flowing skirts with elaborate edging and winged charm reminiscent of hippy soul searching and mother love.
Precious and confident, the wardrobe La Perla is inspired by fashion icons such as Marisa Berenson and the ability to tastefully mix styles, concepts and timelines.
