PARIS, Oct 13, 2003/ FW/ --- Korea-native Lee Young Hee literally added ‘glitter’ to the Paris season by incorporating the thread of white gold in her designs.
The Platinum House, who is one of the major sponsors of her show, provided the fabric wherein white gold thread was woven into tradition silk, giving it exceptional glitter and volume.
From the silver gray skirt with asymmetrical hemline to the finale gown inspired by the traditional Korean dress, the effect of white gold was astounding.
Its metallic quality gave traditional materials like silk and linen volume and structure.
The result – the clothes are unadorned, and almost geometrical, without losing its flowing quality.
Lee Young Hee presented an all-white collection with splashes of color – pink, orange and yellow – either as embroidery or beading.
Strappy stilettos and Roman sandals added to the elegance and beauty of the collection.
A very strong showing for the emerging designer
