Marcel Marongiu PARIS, Oct 7, 2004/ FW/ --- In a time when many designers are about being over the top and far out, an effortless yet dynamic collection always come and still the show. Tan low cut dresses with rouging affects opened one of the most simple and elegant shows of the week.

Marcel Marongiu is a designer who knows his clients and a woman’s worth. Keeping the collection simple in color, he gave us beat out silhouettes in nude tan, grey and cement.

Snake skin jackets and tops looked great with tailored pants. Male pleated trousers were loosely tailored and high waisted.

Cropped coats were trimmed in diamantes and sequins. Simplistic a- symmetric and cow neck dresses were styled with minimum jewelry.

Beautiful blends of chocolate and tan in chiffon shell dresses were eye catching. Floor length skirts had fluidity that made them cover the entire runway with fabric. These skirts were paired with elegant beaded tops that may be worn under a jacket for day.

The show progressed to show sea green ensembles with ballroom gown flares. Sparks of pink dresses with silk detailing were paired with cashmere sweaters. Light wool jackets were tailored at the waist with sequin trim.

A woman’s worth is worth so much more when she is not over styled and over done. Marongiu knows how to dress a lady of the time, but whose style is timeless.
