Missoni MILAN, Aug 21, 2005/ FW/ --- Spring and summer are mostly thought of to be the time of color, light and freshness and Luca Missoni hit it the perfect pitch with prints, stripes and great color combinations that the House of Missoni is well-known for.

In masculine shades of blue, purple, green and even pink, Luca Missoni as an accomplished colorist is undeniable as he mixed and matched the colors of the rainbow for a refreshingly retro looks for Spring / Summer 2006.

Vests, cardigans, golf shirts and blazers emphasized men’s individuality and masculinity while exposing his fashionable side!

Yes, men today are more than aware of fashion. And it is not Bravo’s “Queer Eye For the Straight Guy” that did it, though it was a by-product of the mass media phenomenon.

It is the advent of mass communication with the global 24-hour TV and the internet, information has become readily available with the push of a button or the click of the mouse.

Hence, it is not surprising that men, the last bastion of conservatism when it comes to fashion have become the latest area for innovation and breaking new grounds.

And, this is where Luca Missoni comes in with bomber jacket shirts, two-tone loafers with prints, tiny stripes on pants and bold zigzags on cardigans.

Rock & roll artists might still be spearheading men’s fashion, but the Missoni gent is not far behind as he continues to be on the edge his way to the forefront.
