DALLAS, Nov 21, 2004/ FW/ --- Missoni has a long history of being a favorite here in Dallas. In 1973, it won the Neiman Marcus Award, and in 1999, it was awarded the Dallas Historical Fashion Collector’s Stanley Marcus Award.
And with the introduction of jeans in its fashion lines last September in Milan, Missoni
just came closer to the heart of Dallasites.
Because, if you really think about it, though the ladies here at the Big D like to dress up,
they also stock up on jeans in their closets.
So, you can be rest assured that come springtime, when those fabulous jean with “Ms” stitched at the back pockets hit the stores, they will fly off the shelves.
Of course, it’s not just the jeans that will ring the registers. Angela Missoni’s ankle-length dresses in stripes or in prints will look good in the prairie and really be at home in the ranch.
And if you really think about it, they will also be a hit at Highland Park or Preston Hollow during those late afternoon teas or cocktails.
The fruity prints with watermelons and grapes, together with the flowers and vines (do I see Wisteria?) are so much a part of summertime in Dallas, that if I did not know any better, I would say that Angela Missoni had the ladies of DFW in mind when she was designing the collection.
The whole collection is light and pretty, hip and fruity, and most important of all… ageless. That means girls and women from sixteen to sixty can take home something from Missoni come spring.
