Paris Menswear Show Spring 2005

Moritz Rogosky Goes On the Hunt
By Contributing Writer

Moritz Rogosky PARIS, Jul 6, 2004/ FW/ --- Moritz Rogosky’s collection for the spring of 2005 is set to take us all into the wild for some summer hunting.

The show took place at the *Club de la Maison de la Chasse et de la Nature. According to Rogosky, the collection was somewhat inspired by the idea of leisurely hunting and outdoor wear.

Rogosky’s featherweight windbreakers are cropped at the waist. They are light and stylish and appear in a variety of colors and fabrics.

The sophisticated polo shirts are matched with slim hooded T-shirts. The fitted jackets can be adjusted at will by the wearer. The shirts in jersey and the mariners slip on and off with the ease of a T-shirt.

Some shirts have appliqués and embroidery. They are striped and worn with thin ties. The tank-tops have a subtle and draped effect around the collars, which unbutton in the back. The jackets are created in washed fleece and can at will be buttoned or simultaneously zipped.

One should make special note of the suits created by Rogosky. One is a two-piece number done in jersey. It has a casual feel to it even though it is proposes a dressier look from the collection. He also did a very comfortable looking suit, which appears to be made from a traditional impermeable fabric. Although it has more structure to it, it is not constraining.

Rogosky brought together canvas and twill, creatively matching them with fine piqué and mercerized jerseys. His wrap shirt in red and white stole my heart. It should do very well among department buyers.

Coordinated bags made of materials from the same fabrics as the collection come in various proportions.

His pants are great alone or can be jazzed up with a utility belt. Those used by Rogosky are done in cotton and set of by buckles, hooks and chains in a variety of metals like brass and nickel.

With this collection, all left to say is “Let the hunt commence”.
