MILAN, Mar 10, 2005/ FW/ – Playful colors from the past and present make up the Moschino Cheap & Chic wardrobe for autumn winter 2005/06 as the fun house pulls pieces from Granny’s wardrobe in a rag doll revamp party from the 1940’s.
Lipstick and lollipops redefine vividly dazzling looks in a rainbow palette determined to brighten next years chilly season.
Sparkles and the 1940’s come face to face with a modern and contemporary twist as Moschino Cheap & Chic put girly florals, ruffles and tiers together with cropped jacket lengths and an array of pattern layers.
Stripes are worn with cropped trenches and puff sleeves come in fun fur while ‘Flintstone’ style exaggerated visible color stitching and odd buttons are part of these little girls dress up wardrobe.
Tulip skirts meet pearls and embroidery along with appliqué of all sorts, and even beanies have eyes stuck to them.
Tailoring in this collection is essential and it is not simply the pleasurable idea of light in winter that makes it a success. From trousers to skirts to jackets attention to detail is as crucial as the design itself.
Eclectic and eccentric, influences as far removed from each other as rock and roll, the military and the living room all manage to fit comfortably in this lively wardrobe, where excessive necklaces, leather and chains meet lampshade hats, curtain flamboyant patterned dresses and drapery ropes and tassels.
Neat and messy, by contrasting the playful and innocent with the aggressive and determined, the Moschino Cheap & Chic ‘apocalipstick’ wardrobe is one for the light hearted, free spirited and mischievous.
