Moschino: Transforming The Ordinary Into Something Special
By Michelle Taylor

Moschino MILAN, Jun 27, 2005/ FW/ – ‘Make love not fashion’! Moschino, the house of fun that isn’t afraid to put men in color are having a peace protest by dressing their men in 60’s cool school for spring summer 2006.

Prints of little elephants nicknamed ‘Stefano’, floral and candy stripes dominate the collection that takes its spiritual inspiration from India, reflected through embroidery and tunics, colors and touch, before heading back to the city where the Beatles were making waves and Vietnam was in full swing.

Sergeant Pepper jackets sit over slim silhouettes that opt for cool lightweight knitwear with floral decoration and trousers of silk and cotton in brights and prints before transforming the classic pinstriped jacket into a statement by washing and tie dying it to create a crinkled up modern well dressed hippy version of an iconic printing technique.

Moschino transforms the ordinary into something special by turning sixties inspiration into a wardrobe of inspiration, diversity and pleasurable play.
