Own: Styles That Fit All Occassions
By: Michelle Taylor

PARIS, Jul 2, 2003/ FW/ --- The Belgian pair kown as Own, presented last Monday their spring / summer mens 2004 collection, a mix of sleek and easy chic.

Set in a theatre at the Pompidou Centre, the models came onto stage in groups of six, standing under spotlights, each with their own individual backdrop of shiney black fringing as if in a night club or bar, the flashing red lights in the middle make up the words 'call me'.

And similar to a TV dating game, each model approached the microphone, said his name, age and origin...

Tracksuit style jackets have double zips, jeans and pants are generally streamline and long in the leg while there is a hint of the 50s as check fabric pants in beige with hints of blue are pulled out of Dads wardrobe.

Maybe not exceptional tailors like their Parisian elders, Own's black tailored jackets and trousers nonetheless create a slim sexy silhouette for the young man of today.

Flashing silver zips are visible on pants and jackets with large pockets and capes are used to protect from the rain rather than the traditional buttoned raincoat.

White tops are made up of different fabrics that create light graphical asymmetrical lines, jackets have elastic cuffs making them less formal by adding casual charm and light transparency is used for tanks and blue, white, red and beige large striped polos appear on tops and sweaters.

Despite being 'young' in fashion terms, the duo seem to have no trouble in expressing looks that mix casualness and style fit for all occasions.
