Ozwald Boateng: Leisurely Luxurious

MILAN, Jun 26. 2005/ FW/ --- As the first day of men’s fashion week in Milan gets on the way, Ozwald Boateng presented a collection fitting for the heat.

A white suit with mono color matching white tie and shirt opened the show. The Caribbean island of St. Barts inspired this collection. Hints of Boateng's vibrant colours were seen subtly in the linings of blazers and over the lapels of suits. His brilliant pinstripe suits were seen in gray and dark blue for those businessmen who dare to be different.

Drawing upon the luxurious culture of yachting, Boateng infused a capsule collection entitled "Cruise". The "Cruise" collection is full of the young preppy aristocratic basics needed for sailing through the Caribbean. Short and long sleeve polo shirts were encrusted with the Boateng logo.

Slim stylish shorts and bomber jackets were new items in this range. Yellow slim trousers along with seaside suits in the most extraordinary shades of sky blues, whites and creams completed the theme. Summer weight suede and leather bomber jackets were key eye catching pieces.

Moving on to night, Boateng signature purple illuminated the show as single tailored shirts as well as whole tuxedo inspired suits. Slim trousers with a cummerbund waist were notable with bow tie. The basic black suit had a wonderful polished finished with square tipped ties and ultra sleek formal shoes.

Boateng never disappoints and this collection overtly shows more of his high standards and understanding of well-dressed men of today.
