Ozwald Boateng: In Living Color

New York, Feb 10, 2001 / FashionWindows --- With the military look sweeping Fashion Week, it was hard
to imagine how Ozwald Boateng would incorporate that trend in his Fall 2001 Collection. After all, he
is well known for his use of bright wild materials and angled pockets in men's suits.
But, I should not worried, because as usual, Ozwald Boateng came up with a stunning collection where the
military trend was alive and well. With his Fall 2001 Collection, Ozwald Boateng once again validated his
British Menswear Designer of the Year Award.
The Fall 2001 collection has all the elements of Ozwald Boateng's trademarks -
traditional tailoring was radicalized by the use of bright, wild materials (a palette of purple, blue,
orange, green), and details such as angled pockets, high-closing
jackets, and of course, his signature iridescent lining, the color of which changes with each collection.
With a collection like this, I wonder what a Boot Camp Drill Instructor would say.
