Paul & Joe Rocks The House For Spring / Summer 2006

PARIS, Jul 5, 2006/ FW/ --- Paul & Joe literally rocked the house and tripped the lights fantastic at the presentation of its Spring/Summer 2006 collection.

The Rabeats, a 60’s style group, pumped the audience and had it in full dance with its rendition of the Beatles most famous hits. That set the tone and the mood for the houses powerful collection.

Sophie Albou, the designer behind the Paul & Joel label, went mad in her research. Never before have any of her collections been so replete with authenticity of spirit, look and feel. These three elements unite to form a perfect harmony of style in this collection.

It features embroidery detailing and embellishments on the jackets, shirts and waist of the pants. It is dominated by the plaids in the pants and ruffles on the shirts.

Look for V-neck long sleeved T-shirts, tight jeans, etc. The jeans and other pieces of the collection have the Paul & Joe symbol from this show on them.

The blazers are light, stylish; everything cut to perfection. The neck scarves are thin, light and projects the wearer back into the 1960’s where men did care a great deal more about their appearance.

The show ended with many journalists acclaiming the collection as “the best shown so far on the runways this season.” Yet it is undeniable that it appeals to a wider variety of individual and diverse tastes.

That assumption is quite easy to understand once one sees the superb denim outfit that Ms. Albou sent out to the runway. The jacket is as well cut as a tailored jacket and is cropped to the waist.

Shorts play a big part of this collection. They are cut in the style of trousers and slacks. They could easily be placed with a jacket for a truly city look.
