MILAN, Feb 26, 2005/ FW/ --- For the youthful Miu Miu line, Miuccia Prada continued her foray into simplicity opting for sharp and architectural silhouette allowing the clothes to do the talking once again.

Tweed coats were trimmed with fur while jacquard paisley print coats went unadorned as their softly rounded shoulders spoke volumes of Miuccia’s mastery of cutting and tailoring techniques.

Hemlines remained just barely above the knee, at times just below it, again opting for simplicity sans the drama.

Only embellishments that were used were embroidery on tops and bodices on solids, while the soft prints were put together as geometric patterns creating an illusion of suppleness while remaining architectural.

Standouts are the coats and capes, especially the suede patchwork done with ajouré or openwork on seams.

Breaking new grounds in fashion, Miuccia Prada reconstructed the double-breasted coat putting only the button closures on one side giving it an asymmetrical look.

As always, the accessories are fabulous starting with the simple black and white handbag and aqua shoes finished with purple piping.

Like its sister line, Prada, Miu Miu is in perfect pitch. Two in a row for Miuccia, yet, do we really expect anything less from her?

One of the most prolific designers of our time, she continues to titillate us with her groundbreaking creations.
