LOS ANGELES, Nov 4, 2003/ FW/ --- Thursday night in L.A., Richard Tyler brought magic to the Mercedes Benz Shows LA when he presented all his three lines at The Club.

Historically, Richard Tyler shows his eponymous couture line in New York, and his diffusion line, “Tyler” in Los Angeles. But this season, the Australian-born designer gave his full support to his home city.

In turn, Richard Tyler’s celebrity A-list was there to support him. Daisy Fuentes, Sheryl Crowe, Daphne Zuniga, Justine Bateman and Garcelle Beauvais caused paparazzi mayhem before the start of the show.

Add to that the number of fans who wanted their autographs, and you have a very late start. The shows were running 30 minutes late as usual last Thursday. With Richard Tyler, it started 45 minutes late, because it took sometime before Security can clear the runway.

Divided into three parts, Richard Tyler opened the show with his diffusion line, Tyler.

With its teen and twenty-something target market, Richard Tyler created cotton voile and denim pants and jackets.

The first garment, a silk boucle notch collar jacket, cotton bandeau top and a silk boucle hot short, set the tone for the Tyler collection – fun, active, even sporty.

The designer featured collections of various silks, stretch cottons, jersey’s, leather and suede, elegantly designed.

The guest celebrities paid attention to the details of the collections featured. Notes were being taken as the models passed. Though questionable if being taken for designer tips or shopping list, you decide.

The second part opened with a silk organza trench dress for the designer’s main line, Richard Tyler Couture.

Richard Tyler’s creations of silk organza, silk satins, and silk chiffons were elegantly adorned by various styles of large size pearl necklaces just as elegant with matching bracelets.

Fluid, flowing and in pretty colors, mixed with sexy, classic Hollywood glamour, it can very possible be seen worn at one the many upcoming Hollywood events as the celebrities pay an even closer look as the models were coming out to the runway.

For the finale, three little girls posing as flower girls dropped rose petals along the way as they took the runway introduced the Bridal Collection.

Richard Tyler dressed the whole bridal party with this collection, even offering power suits for some women who are not into wearing dresses or gown.

Memorable piece includes Gerren Taylor’s white organza organza gown adorned with roses. It can either be a bridesmaid’s or wedding gown, depending on the bride.

And finally, a male model in a well-tailored tuxedo escorted a female model posing as a “soon to be mom” in a silk organza gathered bust scarf hem dress. It seems to scream – no more blushing bride! A total crowd pleaser!
