Australian-born Richard Tyler won the CFDA Designer of the Year Award in 1996.

A superb tailor, Richard Tyler is well known for his masterful detailing and hand-stitching.

Tyler who was born into fashion, learned to sew at age five from his mother who is a couturier.

The designer has currently three lines - the perfectly tailored suits and exquisite eveningwear under "Richard Tyler," the Richard Tyler bridal line and "Tyler"

"Tyler" was launched in April 2002 during Los Angele Fashion Week. A moderately priced line, it has the same tailoring and cut as its high end sibling, but is more afforadable.

Richard Tyler has a son, Sheridan who is also a designer. Sheridan Tyler designs for Eastwood Ranch.
