PARIS, Apr 9, 2004/ FW/ --- Fall/Winter 2004 - 2005 according to Stella Cadente will be enthusiastic, colorful and lively. The small fashion house broke ranks with the traditional dark, drab colors of the season used by most fashion houses. In that, she is preparing us a little fun in the cold nights of winter.
Stanislassia Klein is the designer and creative talent behind the brand name. She chose for the collection an array of bright colors, which includes teal, fuchsia, yellow, orange, cream, cotton candy pink and yes, even a Ronald McDonald red! Klein made it all work and look oh so fun.
This collection can be divided into three categories: (A) the very colorful, (B) the wearable/commercial and (C) the theatrical. Klein led us through all three phases fashion with a sense of great ease.
Klein proposes an active look for women through this collection. Her pink satin dress is young, innocent and playful. The teal knickers suggest that the Stella Cadente woman will be spending her Saturday nights at parties having a good time. The basic clothes such as the blouses, the pants, the dresses and skirts are not filled with an exceptional amount of movement, yet they look good and should wear well.
The collections also features feather boas, cock plumes, et marabou, ostrich feathers, satins, crystals, wools, leopard prints, printed fabrics and bright solids.
The cross-your-heart sweater in pink and white is easy to wear. It has become a steady signature piece at Stella Cadente. The black satin dresses and skirts flatter the feminine forms and are accented by the kaleidoscope of color printed on to them.
The lambskin and faux leopard skin jackets are certain to be a big hit with both her younger crowd and her older clientele with the prerequisite spunk. They are soft and feel good to the touch.
When asked by FASHION WINDOWS if she had any ambitions for Hollywood, Stanislassia Klein said, “I would love to go to, and I will come. You have very special lights in Hollywood and I would like to mix my colors with your lights.”
Her colors and lights looked great on a model who is a dead ringer for Angelina Jolie.
The designer then went on to say, “This collection is bright, positive, healthy and has good energy. It is important because the world is tough. I believe fashion can help us live easier in some ways. I want to make women beautiful.”
Now it is no state secret that the fall winter collections allow Klein to let her imagination run free with her feather creations. Only this time, every single piece done in ostrich and cock feathers are 100% wearable. Certainly you wouldn’t wear them to a plain church, but they do make a fierce statement. The must-have from the feather work is the large hooded jacket created in black cock feathers. IT IS THE STATEMENT MAKER!!!
Although the marabou in some pieces did shed a bit when placed in motion, it’s perfectly fine, as the shedding will ultimately serve to mark the passing of a blissful woman with a great sense of style.
