PARIS, Oct 5, 2005/ FW/ – ‘Muses’ of reflection were danced and acted out by the sublime silhouettes of the girls from the Moulin Rouge, dressed in a wardrobe of Stella Cadente who mixed colors, music and inspiration for a spring summer 2006 collection she likens to enchantment and inspiration.
Soft and simple, modern goddesses that seem alien to the audience twirl and spin under spot lights in light knit and pleated skirts that finish at the knee.
Metallic gold, green and pink are the order of the day contrasted against supple neutrals and pastels edged with acid flashes of green and pink as Stella Cadente takes from motorcycle dreams of feminine biker jackets, boots and long shorts that buckle at the knee.
A trench is cut to its extreme leaving a simple gold bolero to cover frilly shoulders adding to the sportive element of movement that tied the collection together.
A little tennis dress and non encumbering prints also take part in the eclectic wardrobe that at times seemed repetitive, even if in five distinct phases, and similar to a music mash video seen on MTV as sounds and looks were squashed together in an attempt at inconformity.
Jewels hang from shoulder straps, belts and as a single earring in multiple collective strands of keepsakes and trinkets both for day and night adding extra glamour and preciousness to an active wardrobe.
