All In The Family

Born in Lima, Peru, Guliana Testino started as a jewelry designer before switching to
knitwear and accessories.
With a degree in architecture, one would assume she should be designing houses and buildings
instead of beautiful jewelry and knits.
But, to paraphrase a saying, "blood is thicker than training."
The sister of famed fashion photographer Mario Testino and fashion rep Giovanni, Guliana has
been influenced by their mother who has always been very particular with style and aesthetics.
In short, all the Testino children were raised with fashion in mind.
Hence it is not suprising to find the third Testino sibling in the fashion world.
Working on her fifth season (Spring 2003), Guiliana continues to be inspired by the
colors and culture of her homeland.
Using traditional craft - embroidery, knitting and crochet, Guilliana works with about
400 knit and crochet experts to take her designs from the drawing board to wearable
garment.
Her collection is currently available on net-a-porter.com, and Harvey Nichols in London.
