Tim Van Steenbergen PARIS, Feb 28, 2005/ FW/ --- Tim Van Steenbergen is fulfilling his destiny of becoming a top name in ladies ready-to-wear. His collection presented this week in Paris was not to long, not too short, not to light, not too heavy… in other words, just right.

Early in the show, an opened back dress in black silk and glittering shoulder pads was among the first pieces to help create the tone of this collection that had no previously declared theme.

Another dress with an open back had a layered bottom done in several different fabrics. The designer also did a double-layered skirt in pleated.

Although no theme had been announced for the collection, the lack of it was no hindrance to this collection being well received.

The coats have a major role in this collection.

His wrap-over coat with high collar was interesting. Another coat had stitch detailing and garnished in buttons.

The trench coat had a wide and very open collar for a very stylish touch. Other coats presented later in the show are gathered just below the right shoulder blade and are accented with three or four buttons.

In the latter part of the show, Steenbergen presented a beautiful gown in charmeuse. It has spaghetti straps and a gathered bust line.

The designer also did a very nice cocktail dress with gathers, ruffles, draping and feathers. The end part of the show saw a very nice long dress with great movement to it.
