DALLAS, Sep 2, 2006/ FW/ --- There was a time when a woman cannot leave the house without being fully dressed up and made up. It was a time of elegance; and being refined is not just a phrase but also a way of life. Trussardi wants to bring that time back, circa 2006 when women are ladies, not just once or twice, but thrice.
With the focus on ‘dressing up’ at all times of the day and everyday of the week, Trussardi proposes a neutral color palette for Fall.
‘First time a lady’ is with the choice of coats. For daywear - double-breasted tailored coats with asymmetrical hemlines and obi belts, the volume is controlled, the look feminine yet functional. For evening – iridescent blue print on a knee-length coat with a shawl neckline.
For any day of the week, any time of the day – fur lined coats that sometimes come with a hood, again with a very tailored silhouette that vacillates between formal and casual depending on the outfit you are wearing.
The accessories – gloves in different lengths and matching knee-high boots perfect the look.
‘Second time a lady’ is dressing up during the day. Shift dresses with jewel neckline, slim fitting trousers and long-sleeved tops with a shawl neckline, A-line skirts matched with Courreges-inspired tops with sepia prints. Quilted military-inspired leather jackets are snug fitting, while the short-cropped jackets were trimmed with fur for opulence.
The Trussardi lady cannot be over-dressed or underdressed for any occasion during the day. The classic cuts and styling made sure that in any situation, the Trussardi lady rises up to the occasion.
‘Three times a lady’ – at night, during those red carpet events or attending the opera or going to the theater. Halter neck frocks with asymmetrical hemline in gold prints, the glitter hushed with voile on top. One-shoulder floor-length gowns define the figure, but not overtly, where the look is sensual and not overly sexy.
