MILAN, Jan 19, 2006/ FW/ --- After going hedonistic for summer 2006, Trussardi’s respectable gent becomes risqué donning black, gray and midnight blue bomber jackets and lean trousers, the urban male ready for action.
Like Pierce Brosnan who after being the ‘respectable’ James Bond became a thief and played character roles, Trussardi after years of being the perfect ‘gentleman’ dress the lads in more daring looks not seen before with the Italian fashion house.
Snug-fitting sweaters and black trench coats, tone-on-tone shirts with matching neckties in gray, three-button jackets with Nehru collars, the Trussardi gent is a playboy by day, a respectable Wall Street broker or young urban professional.
At night and weekends, he changes colors. Like a chameleon he blends with the night with his hooded bomber jackets, zipped up leather coats, and ski hats.
The ‘danger’ that surrounds him is exciting, even sexy at times. And while the sexiness is overt in some of the collections seen this week in Milan, Trussardi’s subtle take on masculine charm is more stimulating.
Like Pierce Brosnan whose fans stayed with him as he changed from ‘perfect gentleman’ roles to the more gritty and dangerous characters, Trussardi fans will love this collection.
The best thing about it, the Italian fashion house will actually gain more fans!
