MILAN, Jun 29, 2005/ FW/ --- Trussardi is selling more than a lifestyle with this collection. The runway was filled with fresh face models with dewy skin and wet hair looking as if they just stepped off a luxurious yacht.
There were a lot of re-interpreted pieces with hints of modernity. Cardigans are on the scene in the most riches of colors. The watermelon green and canary screaming yellow will give any wardrobe spice.
Primary stripes and navy blue blazers are staple items. Short trench coats and sailing blazers were styled with gold buttons. No longer is gold cheap, but now it is back in the hands of the aristocratic.
The Trussardi man will be able to layer with soft bomber jackets and windbreakers in a variety of colours from red to navy blue. These jackets have white piping that gives it a modern twist.
Moving on to suits, Trussardi mainly showed double-breasted suits with French cuts. Individually styled blazers were a little more fitted than the suits and playful in pinstripes. The leather strappy sandals gave many of the stuffy suits a casual feel.
Fine fabrics of mohair, silks and twisted cottons were all over the collection from v-neck jumpers to oversize carry-on bags. Each look was fully complete with vintage inspired eye wear and sleek trainers.
Sophistication with hints of modernity is everything for Trussardi.....
