Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren make up the design duo known as Viktor & Rolf. Both are born
in 1969 at The Netherlands.
They met while they were students at the Arnhem Academy of Art, both
majoring in Fashion Design.
Viktor & Rolf are the anti-thesis of the stereotype fashion designer.
Both of them look like they are computer types who would be more comfortable in an IT
environment that on the runway.
They are considered the hottest designer in haute couture, starting with their debut during the Fall 1999
season.
The duo went out on the runway with one model whom they dress in nine layers of clothes -
actually their whole collection! They were "hiding" one thing and then showing another.
The Groninger Museum was so impressed with their work, that the museum had an exhibit of their
works from 1998-2000.
As each season pass, Viktor & Rolf gets better & better. From their museum quality but unwearable
clothers, they are now designing clothes which are actually commercially viable.
