PARIS, Oct 10, 2003/ FW/ --- The Zucca show held at the Union Centrale des Arts Decoratifs held this morning in Paris is an eclectic mix of youth subculture.
Designer Akira Onozuka tapped the ‘grand prix’ fans with his black & white checks, mimicking the international symbol for grand prix races.
He then sent denim and leather jackets for biker chic, with low-rise pants and mini-skirts dominating this section.
Models wore eye make up resembling sunglasses, with a touch of the anime and videogame looks, which are very popular among the Internet and Nintendo generations in the U.S.
Delving into street wear, Akira Onozuka sent male and female models wearing windbreakers made of cotton and microfiber.
Akira Onozuka might be two generations older than his target market, but he surely has his
pulse in what the young people wears.
