Sergio Davila F13 06 preview

NEW YORK, Feb 4, 2013/ — Peruvian designer Sergio Davila proved early on to the fashion industry that his work was worth keeping an eye out for. Davila’s Fall Winter 2013/14 collection comes to life after living 8 months in a Victorian apartment in Lima, Peru.

This collection takes inspiration from the historic dark cities such as Lima. Sergio met concept artist Alvaro Feliu during one of his nights out, who then served as one of his inspirations.

Additionally, Sergio used the distinguished Peruvian dog – it has no hair and an elegant “mohawk” adorns its head – as well Punks that live in the surroundings of and in Lima, a city with more DNA than all other cities in the world.

This will be the fifth time that we will be able to see his creations presented during Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in New York. Though the show will feature 22 men’s looks and only 8 women’s looks, Davila’s womenswear options are just as interesting.

All fibers used by Davila, such as Alpaca and Pima Cotton, are 100% organic.
