NEW YORK, Oct 23, 2012/ — Iconic retailer The Limited has tapped Vogue Fashion Fund winner Sophie Theallet for the fashion retailer’s holiday offering and Spring 2013.

A veteran of Jean Paul Gaultier and Azzedine Alaia, French-born Sophie Theallet is known for creating luxury clothing whose universal appeal lies in its unique point of view. Her signature is a panaché of femininity and ease, sensuality and craftsmanship that is instantly recognizable.

For The Limited, Sophie designed a collection that features the vibrant color palate and feminine confidence Sophie’s designs are famous for. The debut collection includes a single look offered in four color ways that can be mixed and matched.

Commenting on her collaboration with The Limited, Sophie Theallet said, “I am very excited… I design clothes to make a woman feel beautiful, and my aesthetic is luxurious and sensual with an air of nonchalance. It is a wonderful challenge to create modern clothes with these attributes at an accessible price point. Partnering with The Limited is the perfect opportunity to reach a broader market.”

The collaboration between The Limited and Sophie Theallet will be available at The Limited stores nationwide and online beginning in mid-November 2012 as part of the fashion retailer’s holiday offering and extend into spring 2013.

The collaboration will debut a dress in four color ways: Ivory, Magenta, Black, and Vermillion. Theallet also created a cardigan in four colors: midnight blue, midnight purple, brass and tangerine, as well as a belt, clutch in red, brick, eggplant and gold, and five styles of bracelets and two styles of earrings for The Limited collection.

Dresses will retail for $108, cardigans for $69, bags for $59, belts for $49 and jewelry for $29. “The Look” for Holiday will be available in over 255 doors and online at www.thelimited.com.
