Eliminating Holiday Debt
Jan 16, 2004/ FW/ --- Now that the holidays are over, millions of Americans are
not rejoicing over what they are left with -- unwelcome holiday debt.
According to a recent survey for leading financial website Quicken.com, 39
percent of Americans set a budget for their holiday spending but only 50 percent
stuck to it.

French Court Upholds LVMH Claims Against Morgan Stanley
PARIS, Jan 12, 2004/ FW/ --- The legal battle between French luxury giant LVMH
and U.S. investment firm Morgan Stanley was decided today in Paris with the
Paris Commercial Court ruling that “the claims brought by LVMH against Morgan
Stanley demonstrate “gross misconduct” against LVMH, causing it “considerable
financial and reputational harm” and ordered the bank to pay LVMH euro 30
million in damages.”

28% of Americans Say Getting Out of Debt is Their Top New Year's Resolution
Jan 9, 2004/ FW/ --- More than one quarter (28%) of all Americans say getting out of debt is their
top New Year's resolution, closely followed (27%) by the perennial favorite of
losing weight and exercising more, according to the Cambridge Consumer Credit
Index.
