DALLAS, Mar 15, 2005/ FW/ --- The House of Dereon expects to keep you warm this winter as it launches its outerwear line for the holiday season in collaboration with the G-III Apparel Group.
Last week, Beyoncé and Tina Knowles announced that the House of Dereon had signed a licensing agreement with G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. (NASDAQ:GIII) to collaborate on the design, marketing and distribution of an exclusive comprehensive collection of outerwear.
Commenting on the announcement, Beyoncé Knowles said, "We want to launch an extraordinary outerwear collection for the Holiday season ... the perfect coat to complement our fashion line."
This is the second licensing agreement signed by the fledging fashion house in a span of two months. Last January, the company entered a licensing agreement with the Tarrant Apparel Group to collaborate on the design, manufacturing and distribution of House of Dereon brand apparel.
Founded in May 2004, The House of Dereon (pronounced de-ron) is the fashion label of singing diva Beyoncé Knowles in collaboration with her mother Tina.
Named after Agnes Dereon, who is Tina’s mother and Beyoncé’s grandmother, the House of Dereon plans to bring trend-setting style and a creative take on fashion to stylish women everywhere.
The design alliance features three co-creative directors, Beyoncé and Tina Knowles, and Heather Thomson Schindler.
