Ellen Tracy Expands To Footwear

LOS ANGELES, Aug 2, 2006 / --- Ellen Tracy launched its new line of footwear at the WSA show being held in Las Vegas from Aug 1- 4, 2006. The new line of shoes is under a licensing agreement with Modern Shoe Company which had been tasked to design and manufacture Ellen Tracy and Company Ellen Tracy brand names.
The footwear line, which was introduced to the trade yesterday, is expected to be available at fine department and specialty stores in February 2007.
The Ellen Tracy footwear Collection will feature modern classic and elegant styling, fashioned and produced in Italy. The Company Ellen Tracy line supplements the Ellen Tracy Collection, in covering all classifications to include broader lifestyle needs.
Commenting on the company’s expansion to footwear, Howard Rosenberger, President of Ellen Tracy said, "Sophisticated, fashionable footwear is an important part of the Ellen Tracy woman's wardrobe.”
“I am confident that the seasoned professionals at Modern Shoe Company will create footwear that captures the feel and aesthetic of the Ellen Tracy brand in a new and fresh way that our consumers will relate to," Rosenberger added.
Part of the Liz Claiborne stable of fashion houses, the Ellen Tracy collection features refined American sportswear, offering luxury fabrics, sophisticated colors and exquisite tailoring with an excellent fit.
Ellen Tracy is sold at specialty and department stores including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales.
