Gianfranco Ferré MILAN, Oct 19, 2006/ FW/ ---Gianfranco Ferré will grace the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) exhibition in Cannes slated from Oct 23 – 27, 2006.

The most important global forum for discussion and debate on matters relating to the travel retail, TFWA takes place annually. It incorporates an exhibition, conferences and seminars targeted specifically at buyers from the international duty free and travel retail trade.

For this very important Cannes trade fair, the FERRÉ brand is on hand with those products that best lend themselves to satisfying the needs of the public in the area of travel retail: handbags and small leather goods, ties and foulards, eyewear and fragrances, underwear and umbrellas.

For handbag and small leather goods, the Ferré brand will be exhibiting a wide variety of categories and models for the traveling public.

From hand-gripped bags, shoulder bags, bucket bags, haversack models, backpacks and hip pouches to the luggage and carry-on bags of various sizes, the signature Ferré elegance is seen.

Avoiding any and all manifestations of rigidity, the lines and volumes are bold and clean for briefcases, portfolios and computer cases; for garment bags and luggage trolleys; for belts, wallets and credit card cases.

For the women’s items, high tech touches and alchemical intentions serve to exalt the materials, mixing them in unprecedented combinations, or bringing them literally to life, optimizing their appeal.

From the buttery nappa and calfskin, suede and washed leather, iguana and crocodile, iridescent nylon and logo-bearing textures, fabric and canvas, patent leather and “silver” buffalo, displays the masterful use of chromatic effect.

As to the men’s items, the “three-dimensional” laser-treated calfskin plays with captivating chromatic oppositions, while “gumi”, a materic must of the Ferré accessory line, is back again in combination with brushed and shiny calfskin.

Rough suede is used for a range of models with soft conformations, inspired by the world of “Gumi” work, and rough suede has also found its way back into the original, sophisticated realm of the small leather goods, featuring an interesting variety of models and categories: wallets, document cases, key cases and much more.
