PARIS, May 1, 2007/ FW/ --- Belgian-born designer Bruno Pieters just added another line to his already impressive résumé – Art Director of HUGO, the diffusion line of Hugo Boss, while Eyan Allen, a veteran of several sports company (Nike, Puma and Adidas) had been named Creative Director.
In Pieters’ role as an external consultant for HUGO, he will be responsible for the “design and strategy of the collections.” He is scheduled to start on Jun 1, 2007.
Now, the good news; the great news for Bruno Pieters’ fans is that the innovative designer will continue to design his eponymous label, which he shows in Paris for both menswear and womenswear.
Pieters, who graduated from the Royal Academy of Antwerp with honors in 1999, trained under Margiela, Josephus Thimister and Christian Lacroix Haute Couture before launching his own label in 2001, with none other than a couture collection.
Entitled “Part I: Daywear. The Suit,” the collection was a presentation of pieces based around one single item such as the suit, only differing in fabric, cut and color.
He launched his prêt-a-porter collection in March 2002 and last April 2007, he unveiled his new menswear line.
