DALLAS, Jun 3, 2007/ FW/ --- Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book and Pinocchio – we loved them as kids, now as adults, we can take them to bed with the new Walt Disney Collection sleep and loungewear line from Creative Apparel Concepts.
In a licensing agreement with Walt Disney, Creative Apparel Concepts interpreted the classic Disney characters for today’s modern lifestyle. Capturing the essence of Alice, Mowgli and Pinocchio, Creative Apparel designer Heather Ross created contemporary prints that are nostalgic of the days when all we cared about are cartoons.
Among the notable designs is a print featuring Alice falling into the hole that leads to Wonderland.
“I was always stuck by the original illustration of Alice falling because her face doesn’t really register fear but rather the sense of awe and open spirit to what lay ahead of her. That’s precisely what I wanted to bring to the entire collection, an homage to the brilliant imagination and creativity of Walt Disney,” explained Ross as she described the new Walt Disney Collection Pajama and Lounge Line.
Scheduled to roll out nationwide just in time for Back To School, the Walt Disney Collection sleep and loungewear has a decidedly vintage/retro allure evident in the art rendering.
The soft color palette and comfortable fabrications in cotton voiles and sateen are complemented with remarkable detailing from button placket and character-printed pockets to polka dotted or striped backdrops.
The Walt Disney Collection Pajama and Lounge Line has retail price points from $85 to $150 and will be available in department store and specialty boutiques across the nation.
