DALLAS, Sep 27, 2001/ FW/ --- "Think safety!" the Fire Marshall always say when he visits a retail store. As Visual Merchandisers,
we are all so aware of those two words when we create windows or work on store displays.
There is always someone out there who want to touch our display specially when it is inside the store. Hence,
lighting Jack-O-Lanterns has always been challenging. The cord should not show and most important, it should
be safe.
This year, Color Kinetics came up with lights you can use for your Halloween displays. It's safe, it's beautiful
and most of all - it almost maintenance free, except to check on batteries.
Sauce™ uses bright, colorful LEDs (light emitting diodes) to create a rainbow of colors. You just have
to choose which one you want to use! Or, you can make it change colors, making this very eye-catching.
There is also the Sauce™ LightWand which you can put inside a tube for color effect, or make a mannequin
or form hold it for a Halloween look and feel. It comes in different colors, Ghoulish green, frightening
fuschia, creepy crimson, vampire violet... named appropriately for Halloween, of course.
LightSaucer is a versatile, battery-powered tabletop accent light that can
be incorporated into a costume, used in groups to add spooky effects to a
window or display, or color changing jack-o-lantern
light.
Sauce™ produces a vast range of color through a variety of cool color changing modes that you
can control. A built-in microprocessor mixes red, green, and blue LEDs (light emitting
diodes) to generate colors and effects galore, allowing you to select color
washes, random color changes, fixed colors, and other effects with a simple
push of a button or twist of a dial. The bright LEDs have an ultra-long life,
it is almost maintenance free for the duration of the display.
Sauce™ is available at retail stores nationwide.
