Olsen Twins Launch First Ever Celebrity Co-Branded Toothpaste
The mary-kateandashley™ Brand Introduces Toothpaste Co-Branded with Aquafresh®

LOS ANGELES, Aug 23, 2003/ FW/ --- It's bound to happen soon. Mary-Kate and Ashley, known to their fans as the 'Olsen Twins' have "packaged" their famous smiles.

Next month, Aquafresh's co-branded "mary-kateandashley" brand toothpaste will be available at retailers nationwide.

Named after the famous twins and co-branded with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare's Aquafresh®, the mary-kateandashley brand toothpaste is being marketed under the slogan "It's How You Smile."

The packaging features a photo of Mary-Kate and Ashley at age 13, thus appealing to the toothpaste's younger demographic.

The twins is also breaking new ground in toothpaste marketing: this is the first time a children's toothpaste is co-branded with live celebrities, rather than fictional or animated characters.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce a toothpaste aimed at our younger audience," said Mary-Kate in an official statement.

"Now kids can grow up with us, and learn to have fun brushing," added Ashley in the same official statement.

The "mary-kateandashley" brand toothpaste is also the latest addition to the best-selling fashion, lifestyle and health and beauty product lines from the mary-kateandashley brand.

Currently, the mary-kateandashley brand stable consists of girls video, a videogame, celebrity fashion dolls and books, which are all sold exclusively at Wal-Mart.

The product line is also featured at Wal-Mart stores in Canada, at ASDA stores (Wal-Mart in Britain) and in Australia at Target stores, with additional retail launches soon in France, Mexico, Israel and Germany.

The mary-kateandashley brand toothpaste with its new "Bubble Cool" flavor is available in 4.6-ounce pump will have an average retail price of $2.77.
